How to Participate: Review rules and apply at boringcompany.com/competition Now in its fifth year, this annual competition invites university student teams worldwide to design, build, and test micro tunnel boring machines. The goal is to "beat the snail" (tunnel at speeds exceeding 3 m/h). In 2025, TUM Boring from the Technical University of Munich won by completing a 22.5-meter tunnel.
